| Abstract | 「I. はじめに」癌は解糖活性が高く, 多量の糖を必要としている. また悪性の癌ほど糖の要求性が大であることが知られている. したがって糖の標識化合物は, 有力な癌の診断薬になるはずである. 幸いなことに, 最近のポジトロン標識化学の発展によって, われわれは人体に応用が可能な糖の標識化合物を利用することができる. 18F-2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18FDG) は, グルコースの類似体で, 脳および心筋のグルコース消費量を測定するのに用いられてきたが, 最近, 18FDGが腫瘍診断薬としてもきわめてすぐれていることが明らかにされた. すなわち, 18FDGは, 腫瘍への集積が高く, しかも肝, 腎などの腹部臓器への集積が少ないことから, 肝内の癌でも陽性描画が可能である. また血中からの消失が早く, 静注一時間以内に十分な腫瘍一血液比が得られること, 炎症にあまり集積しないことなどのすぐれた特徴を持っている. |

| Abstract | [Summary] The validity of tumor diagnosis with 18FDG was tested in an experimental rabbit tumor. A male rabbit, which has VX2 tumor in the right thigh and croton oil-induced inflammation in the left thigh, was injected with 3 mCi of 18FDG. Just after injection, serial scanning for every 3 min was done by positron emission tomography. The total number of image was 20 and each image had no less than 500 k counts. The tumor uptake of 18FDG was high and increased with time during 60-min study period. Whereas, inflammation uptake was lower than that of tumor and relatively constant during the period. This was the important finding that distinguishes inflammation from malignant tumor and it would be useful information for clinical cancer diagnosis with 18FDG. |
