Abstract | 「1. 緒言」prostaglandinは1962年Bergastromらがその構造式を報告して以来, 天然にある活性のある一種の脂肪酸として脚光をあびてきたことは衆知の事実である. しかしその発見の歴史はさらにさかのぼって, 1930年KurzrokとLiebの2人の婦人科医によってヒト精液中に摘出子宮筋の収縮をおこす物質が存在することが報告されたのが最初である. 続いて1933年Goldblattが, 1934年にVon Eulerがそれぞれ独立して精裏よりの抽出物に平滑筋刺激と血管収縮作用を有する物質を見出したが, 1935年Von Eulerはこれはacidic lipidの作用によるものであり, これをProstaglandinと命名した. その後前述したBergstromらの構造式決定にいたったわけである. |

Abstract | [Summary] 3H-labeled prostaglandin F2α was injected intravenously into pregnant mouse and the distribution of radioactive material was studied by macroautoradiography. The results were discussed in relation to current concepts of metabolism and biological effects of prostaglandin F2α. Autoradiograms obtained from sagittal sections of the whole body showed high concentration of 3H in the kidney and liver. The observed uptakes probably reflect the formation and elimination of metabolites by these organs. The concentration of 3H in the lungs was also considerably high, suggesting participation in the biological inactivation. Also, significant uptake of 3H in the myometrium and fetuses was observed. This demonstrate that the effect of prostaglandin F2α has a physiological significance on parturition. |
